Location: Orlando, FloridaJob Type: PermanentCompensation Range: $70,000 - 75,000 per yearOur client is seeking a talented 3D Modeler, Generalist to play a key role in the design, development, testing, and troubleshooting of 3D models and environments. This position will be responsible for enhancing 3D visual databases and building new assets for the moving model library. You'll have the opportunity to create immersive simulations tailored for both civilian and military environments, blending artistic vision with technical precision.Responsibilities:Design and build 3D synthetic environments.Utilize geospatial tools (OSM, Imagery, etc.) to gather and incorporate data into models.Generate 3D terrain for the Visual Engine, ensuring high-quality visuals.Create terrain mask layers, displacement maps, and realistic landscapes.Optimize 3D models for simulation use, focusing on performance and visual quality.Develop lighting and environmental elements to enhance scene realism.Build 3D aircraft and ground vehicle models for both civilian and military simulations.Ensure models are simulation-ready, with experience in high and low poly modeling, unwrapping, baking, and texturing.Work within simulation engines or Unreal Engine-based projects, with proficiency in one or more components such as Material Editor, Blueprints, Sequencer, Lighting, or Unreal Scripting systems.Modify and enhance RVT (Real-Time Virtual) textures for landscapes.Maintain performance standards while delivering visually compelling environments.Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to enhance visuals.Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent (degree in Architecture, Animation, Simulation, Design, or related field preferred).Previous experience in 3D real-time modeling for simulation.Strong familiarity with 3D terrain creation software and GIS data.Understanding of contour maps, architectural/civil plans, and cartography.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Strong attention to detail in integrating functional assets with an artistic eye.Solid understanding of rigging, animation, and digital art content creation for simulation (high and low poly modeling).Interest in aviation and experience working on projects with training objectives is a plus.Strong communication skills, able to work with internal stakeholders and customers effectively.Quick learner, adaptable, and able to solve complex problems creatively.Self-directed, with excellent time management and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.Experience with:3D Studio MaxPhotoshopUnreal EngineSubstance Painter, Designer, or QuixelGlobal Mapper (or ArcGIS)Expert-level proficiency in:PBR pipelineTerrain creation toolsPresagis CreatorScripting languages (Unreal scripting, Blueprints, etc. JOBID: 1070438#LI-CELLA#LI-KF1#PLEqual Opportunity Employer: Race, Color, Religion, Sex, Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, National Origin, Age, Genetic Information, Disability, Protected Veteran Status, or any other legally protected group status.At Cella, a randstad digital company, we welcome people of all abilities and want to ensure that our hiring and interview process meets the needs of all applicants.
