Job Description
Position Summary:
We are seeking a Skilled Chemical Machine Operator to join our team at a leading chemical manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will operate and monitor chemical processing equipment with precision and care, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production in accordance with company standards and regulatory guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up, operate, and monitor various types of chemical processing equipment (e.g., mixers, reactors, centrifuges, packaging lines).
Follow detailed batch records, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and safety protocols.
Accurately measure, weigh, and load raw materials into processing equipment.
Monitor chemical reactions, equipment pressures, temperatures, and flow rates, adjusting controls as necessary.
Perform in-process quality checks and record production data accurately.
Troubleshoot machinery issues and escalate complex problems to maintenance or supervisors.
Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas to maintain a safe and compliant workspace.
Handle and store hazardous materials in accordance with OSHA and company safety regulations.
Assist in inventory control and raw material staging.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety and operational excellence.
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or GED required.
Must have Experience in a Chemical processing
Must have at least 5 years of experience.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and safety data sheets (SDS).
Basic math skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Physically able to lift 50+ lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in hot/cold or humid environments
