Who We Are: The Peaks Health & Rehabilitation offers 58 skilled nursing beds and provides the support residents and patients need through a wide range of skilled nursing care and restorative therapies. Our continuum of care includes The Peaks, A Senior Living Community, an adjacent community that offers bungalow living, independent living, assisted living, and memory care. This award-winning community has been serving the Flagstaff area since 2000. Our Class: The Peaks is currently recruiting students for our 100% FREE and paid in person NA1 training program. After course completion, students are eligible for immediate employment opportunities as an NA in our award winning Skilled Nursing Facility.
This AZBN approved nursing assistant program prepares students to get certified through the Arizona State Board of Nursing. The final weeks of the class will be clinicals where the students will be giving care to residents in our facility under the direction of the instructor. The first weeks of the course will be in our campus classroom in lecture and lab set ups.
Course Requirements: - Complete and submit application and questionnaire.
- Must be 16 years or older (under age of 18 signature of legal guardian required).
- Criminal Background check prior to start of class.
- Drug test prior to start of class.
- Be able to read, write and communicate in English fluently.
- Must pass final exam of the classroom portion of the class with a grade of 80% or better in order to proceed in program.
- TB test or blood test completed prior to clinical training portion (we provide TB test).
- CPR certified through Red Cross or American Heart Association prior to clinical training portion (we provide this).
- Must have closed toed, rubber soled shoes.
- Nursing scrubs any color/pattern that is appropriate and in good condition must be worn to all class meetings and a watch with a second hand.
