We’ve got what you’re looking for. Job Description: Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Associate Environmental Geologist to join our team! In this role you will get to work on interesting and complex environmental remediation projects with some of the best in the business. Join our team! What You'll Be Doing: Performs various field and office tasks requiring the application of basic geological principles and fundamental theories. Applies available data pertinent to geology and/or hydrogeology, accurately describing and classifying soil and rock samples. Provides technical guidance for stratigraphic and groundwater drilling programs. Conducts soil, surface water, groundwater, and sediment sampling programs. Assists in geological mapping and in performing basic geologic analyses. Assists in geologic report preparation, including preparation of cross sections and compilation of environmental sample analyses. Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate. What Required Skills You'll Bring: Bachelor's Degree in Geology or related field and typically up to 3 years of related work experience. Familiarity with software packages typically used in geological analyses is preferred. Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions. Walk and work on uneven terrain. Physically able to bend, kneel, climb and lift up to 50 lbs. Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Not Applicable/None This position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.
