Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Welder who can pass a Weld Test and meet all requirements. The role involves operating overhead cranes safely, adjusting weld configurations, and utilizing hand tools, torches, or welding equipment to heat and form metal parts. You will be responsible for welding in flat, vertical, or overhead positions, reading and operating measuring devices accurately, and assembling various metal parts. This position requires the ability to train and work in various production areas based on demand, as well as follow verbal and written instructions, including blueprints. Maintaining a safe and clean work environment and working both individually and as part of a team are crucial aspects of this role.

Responsibilities

• Operate overhead cranes safely.
• Adjust weld configurations as needed.
• Heat and form metal parts using hand tools, torches, or welding equipment.
• Weld in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Accurately read and operate measuring devices.
• Assemble and weld various metal parts together.
• Properly position material/parts to be welded.
• Train and work in various production areas based on demand.
• Follow verbal and written work instructions, including reading blueprints.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Work effectively both individually and as part of a team.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in MIG, TIG, or stick welding.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Experience with production welding and fabrication.
• Comfortable with grinding and fitting.
• Ability to accurately use measuring tools like tape measures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Completion of weld school is a plus.
• At least 6 months of welding experience through education or work.
• Preferred welding certificate through an educational institution.
• 1+ year of welding experience in a manufacturing industry.
• Steel-toed leather boots are required.

Work Environment

Join a dynamic workforce in the weld department, currently at 300 employees, aiming to reach 400 for full staffing. The culture emphasizes both independent work and collaboration. Expect production welding tasks with repetitive work on the same parts/lifts daily. The dress code is casual with jeans, steel toes, and a clean work shirt required. Available shifts include 2nd shift from 3pm-11pm and 3rd shift from 11pm-7am, along with a $1.75 shift differential for 2nd/3rd shifts.

This is a Permanent position based out of Mc Connellsburg, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $47320.00 - $54912.00/yr.

$500 @ 3 months of employment
$500 @ 6 months of employment
$500 @ 12 months of employment
