We are looking for a reporter covering Lima and Allen County to help tell the news that people want to read in an up‑and‑coming city that remains surprisingly affordable. The role goes beyond government meetings – it covers the people, businesses, and organizations that make our community thrive. This is an opportunity for a candidate just breaking into journalism to receive coaching from veteran editors, or for an experienced reporter to help us reinvent the way we tell relevant news. Responsibilities Cover news across Lima and Allen County, including government meetings, community events, local businesses, and organizations. Produce accurate, timely, and engaging stories for our news‑savvy audience. Collaborate with editors to refine stories and ensure adherence to journalistic standards. Qualifications Entry‑level candidates are welcome; experience in journalism or related fields is preferred. Strong writing, research, and storytelling skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Creative mindset and curiosity about the community.
