Job Summary:
Perform day-to-day scheduling & procurement duties in a proactive manner in an effort to minimize production issues and delays while maximizing throughput. Maintain appropriate inventory levels of materials needed in the production facility.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
•None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
•Coordinate & Schedule ALL jobs for production.
•Work in lock-step with Pre-press, Sakurai and Bindery managers to ensure job deadlines are met.
•Initiate pre-planning of jobs requiring subcontract operations.
•Maintain all Raw Material levels in accordance with procurement policies & guidelines
•Oversee & initiate purchase of Raw Material & Production Supplies as needed through the RFP process
•Assist in New Product Development as needed.
•Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements:Required Skills/Abilities:
•Clear knowledge & understanding of all print-production processes
•Understanding of production workflow, equipment constraints and capabilities
•Team oriented with quality mindset
•Ability to effectively juggle a dynamic and ever-changing workload
•Technical knowledge of equipment and problem-solving skills
• Cost conscious w/ materials and process efficiencies
•
Education and Experience:
•High School Diploma or GED certification.
Physical Requirements:
•Prolonged periods of standing and walking
•Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
•Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
•Must be able to navigate warehouse and reach items both high and low.
