Job Description

A full-semester counseling contract opportunity is available at a K-12 school in Oneonta, NY, serving general education and special education populations. This role provides comprehensive guidance and support to students across a variety of educational and developmental needs.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering guidance counseling and facilitating career and college planning for students in grades K-12
• Managing a caseload comprised of general education and special education students, including those with ASD, ED, BD, ID, and LD
• Implementing Social Emotional Learning (SEL) curriculum through both one-on-one and group counseling sessions
• Collaborating with educators and staff to support student growth and wellbeing

Required Qualifications:

• Professional counseling experience within K-12 school settings, preferably with both general education and special education caseloads
• Proven ability to conduct virtual counseling sessions alongside onsite duties
• Familiarity with SEL programming and strong skills in delivering both individual and group counseling
• Experience working with diverse student populations including those with special needs such as ASD, ED, BD, ID, and LD
• Commitment to working onsite in Oneonta, NY, with virtual counseling experience preferred
