Founded in 1998, Propio Language Services provides critical interpreting and translation services that improve the quality of life for the communities we engage in. We offer remote and on‑site services in more than 350 languages for over 12,000 clients and have a diverse, highly experienced team and more than 15,000 contract interpreters. Our mission is to close the language gap by connecting people anywhere, anytime through innovative technology and solutions. Contract Responsibilities Provide consecutive, first‑person interpretation. Follow interpreter protocols and procedures as required by Propio L.S. clients. Adhere to all Propio L.S. policies and procedures related to information confidentiality and interpreter ethics. Continuously improve vocabulary and specialized subject‑matter knowledge for client areas such as medical, legal, and social services. Requirements Submit an updated resume in English at the time of application. Demonstrate English language proficiency with a "technical proficiency" rating of 3 or higher on the ILR scale. Successfully complete a mock oral interpretation session and attain a passing score against 24 quality standards. Complete Propio's online Medical Terminology, Anatomy and Physiology assessment with a passing score. Pass a full background check and security screen. Sign a commitment to confidentiality, adherence to ethics, and HIPAA compliance. Preferred Qualifications At least 1 year of interpreting experience.
