Job Description

Our client, a leading organization in the medical devices sector, is seeking a Technical Writer to join their team. As a Technical Writer, you will be part of the documentation team supporting various projects. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent written communication skills, and the ability to work independently, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Technical Writer

Location: Batesville, IN (Hybrid - onsite T, W, Th)

What's the Job?

• Edit, format, and proofread operational and instructional documentation for medical devices.
• Collaborate with sustaining engineering to revise existing documents that support product changes.
• Create and develop new instructional documents as needed for larger product changes.
• Conduct interviews with technical staff to gather information for documentation projects.
• Work with translation vendors to obtain translation and schedule estimates.

What's Needed?

• 2 or more years of experience as an effective technical writer.
• Proficient in using Adobe FrameMaker and other desktop publishing tools.
• Strong writing and editing skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts clearly.
• Experience with content management systems and version control systems is a plus.
