Job Description

Vox Media is seeking an extraordinarily talented & technically savvy Video Editor to join the video team that creates content for Thrillist.

Directly reporting to the Supervising Producer, the ideal candidate is a highly proficient, technical & organized editor, able to take edits from media management through to audio/color mixing and delivery. Editors with previous digital media experience and knowledge of short form to long form as well as travel content, a plus. Video Editors at Thrillist work across many projects and departments; our ideal candidate can balance edits against deadlines and enjoys working on a team of creatives.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Edit up to 4 episodes per month: Story, rough, fine cuts, finishing (GFX, animations, mixing audio/color)
• Edit shortform to midform content 
• Media manage & own our post production process 
• Collaborate with freelancers, as needed
• Balance the work of a variety of projects & deadlines
• Ability to work independent while also working with a variety of video team members

WHO YOU ARE

• 4+ years of video post-production & editing experience in a professional TV or digital environment
• Ability to juggle multiple edits & projects in a fast-paced setting
• Expert in Adobe Premiere with After Effects, Pro Tools, Photoshop and Illustrator experience
• Incredible organization and media management skills
• Attention to detail and strong communication skills
• Previous knowledge for editing sponsored campaigns
• Story-producing and development experience, a plus
• Digital Strategy and Audience Development experience, a major plus
• A true team player who brings passion to the table and is interested in travel video, a plus

This is a bargaining unit position covered by the terms of a collective bargaining agreement with the Writers Guild of America, East.

PAY TRANSPARENCY

The salary range listed below represents the minimum and maximum base pay for this position at the time of this posting. Final salary offered to the candidate selected for the position will be based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience.

Pay Range

$73,000—$75,000 USD
