We are in need of driving instructors.

We are training new instructors at $19 per hour. Licensed driving instructors will start at $25.

Qualifying to become a California DMV-licensed Driving Instructor requires the applicant to have a clean driving record, a valid driver's license for a minimum of 3 years, be at least 21 years of age with no felonies or moral convictions, he or she must provide proof of high school graduation, and pass a physical examination which includes vision, blood pressure, heart rate, etc. You also must complete a 60-hour driving instructor education course which will be done through Zoom. And pass a final exam.

Once you get your instructor license you will receive a pay increase, a school car, and a company gas card.

• Regular time is $20 per hour with travel time between clients paid at the same rate.

• 35 hours a week X $20 per hour

• You must be available to work at least one weekend day per week.

• Anything over 8 hours in a single day is time and a half, even when less than 40 hours a week. Over 40 hours is paid at time and a half.

• One sick day and one vacation day are earned every month based on your typical hours worked. For example, instructors that work 35 hours per week would earn 7 hours of sick time and 7 hours vacation time per month. Those that work less than 35 hours a week, earn fewer hours sick/vacation time. Those that work more earn more sick/vacation time.

• Birthdays are a paid day off.

• 12 sick days per year + 12 vacation days per year plus your birthday = 25 paid days off (5 weeks) per year, which compares to executive benefit packages, auto calculated by ADP.

• You will be provided a company car that you take home and may also use as a light use personal car. Normally, you’ll go directly from your house to and from your students each day. We can mail supplies.

• You will be provided a company credit card for fuel and incidentals

• Retirement Plan Option. A “Simple IRA” with Bakkers Driving School also contributing auto calculated by ADP.

The benefit package begins from your first day of work.

Currently there is no health insurance.
