Mesothelioma Patient Advocate - This is a home office-based position.

Compensation:

• Type: 1099 Independent Contractor
• Rate: $40 to $55 per hour, depending on experience

Requirements:

• Clinician with oncology experience, specifically with mesothelioma patients
• Empathetic personality with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to quickly build trust and rapport with patients over the phone
• Comfortable working independently from a home office
• Proficient in using CRM systems for documentation purposes
• Reliable internet connection and home office setup

Role Overview:

Seeking a compassionate and experienced clinician with a background in oncology, specifically working with mesothelioma patients, to provide crucial information and support to mesothelioma patients and their loved ones. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide mesothelioma patients and their families with information on conventional therapies, specialists, practitioners, centers of excellence, financial resources, and alternative and complementary therapies
• Assist patients in navigating the healthcare system to access better care
• Build trust and connect with patients over the phone, offering empathetic support and general information
• Utilize the CRM system for documentation and management of patient interactions
• Handle a mix of scheduled appointments, incoming calls, and outgoing calls to individuals who have requested information (no cold-calling involved)
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions

Work Schedule:

• Approximately 30 hours per week
• Flexible working hours to accommodate patient needs
