Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and DAANCE certified Dental Assistant to join our team at our oral and maxillofacial surgery practices located in Southern New England. The successful candidate will provide chair‑side assistance to our oral surgeons and ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care. Responsibilities Assist oral surgeons during surgical procedures, including dental extractions, implant placements, and other oral surgeries. Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and equipment for procedures according to OSHA and infection control standards. Take and record patient medical and dental histories, vital signs, and treatment information. Provide post‑operative instructions to patients and ensure they understand proper oral hygiene techniques and post‑operative care. Perform dental radiographic procedures, including digital radiographs and cone‑beam computed tomography (CBCT) scans, as required. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality of patient information. Assist with inventory management, including ordering and stocking supplies. Collaborate with the administrative team to schedule patient appointments and coordinate treatment plans. Uphold a positive and professional attitude while interacting with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for patients and staff. Qualifications DAANCE certification (Dental Anesthesia Assistant National Certification Examination) required. High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred. Current CPR/BLS certification required. Proficiency in dental terminology, procedures, and instrumentation. Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. Familiarity with dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) preferred.
