Job Description

About Us
ISMG is a global media powerhouse and intelligence firm at the forefront of cybersecurity, enterprise IT, and digital transformation. With 10+ trusted media brands, 38+ digital properties, and 400+ executive events annually, ISMG reaches a network of 2M+ business leaders, CISOs, regulators, and technology innovators worldwide.

We are entering an extraordinary growth phase—expanding our editorial depth and global reach. If you’re passionate about shaping narratives that influence the world of cybersecurity and financial services, this is your moment to lead.

The Opportunity
We are hiring an experienced journalist to serve as Senior Correspondent and lead content creator for ISMG's flagship media property,  BankInfoSecurity . This senior editorial role focuses on delivering high-impact, multimedia journalism for a global audience of banking, fintech, and cybersecurity professionals.

You will drive content strategy, manage the editorial calendar, and produce compelling storytelling across formats—including in-depth articles, blogs, video/audio interviews, webinars, and live events. Collaborating with subject matter experts worldwide, you’ll lead coverage on key industry trends such as cyber fraud, regulatory changes, digital identity, AI in banking, and ransomware.

This position is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment and excels as part of an international, award-winning editorial team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the creation and curation of timely, engaging, and authoritative content for BankInfoSecurity and CUInfoSecurity.
  • Produce and edit news articles, thought leadership blogs, investigative features, and original video/audio interviews.
  • Develop and maintain an editorial calendar in alignment with industry events, regulatory updates, and breaking news.
  • Ensure all content meets ISMG’s editorial standards, SEO best practices, and audience engagement benchmarks.
  • Conduct interviews with senior banking, cybersecurity, and compliance executives.
  • Curate expert speaker panels and moderate sessions for ISMG's global summits and CISO roundtables, producing event coverage and securing interviews.
  • Researching and staying up-to-date with current industry and technology trends, as well as security regulations/guidance and relevant legislative activities.
  • Providing editorial support to other sectors covered by ISMG.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field—or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of professional B2B journalism experience, preferably covering banking, fintech, cybersecurity, or information technology.
  • 5+ years focused on banking security or financial regulatory reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of cyber threat trends, digital fraud, regulatory compliance, and risk management in financial services.
  • Knowledge of regulatory bodies and the guidance issued by these bodies for providing a framework for information security within all sectors.
  • Track record of breaking news, industry scoops, and thought leadership reporting.
  • Excellent communication, editorial judgment, and ability to work autonomously in a global remote environment, collaborating with a variety of internal and external personas.
  • Experience managing or mentoring junior editors or freelance contributors is a plus.
  • Relationships with financial CISOs, compliance officers, regulators, and tech leaders is a plus.

🎯 Why Join ISMG?

  • Be part of a globally recognized editorial team with unmatched access to C-level decision-makers.
  • Shape critical narratives in cybersecurity and finance at a pivotal time.
  • Work with purpose in a mission-driven, innovative media environment.
