Position: Senior Director, Patient Support Services Department: Market Access Reports to: Senior Vice President, Market Access Location: Flexible Summary: Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Market Access, the Senior Director of Patient Support Services will be a critical member of the US Commercial Organization. This highly visible role will be responsible for all aspects of the continued growth and management of a comprehensive patient support program (AVEO ACE) offering best-in-class suite of services to ensure broad patient access to therapy. The role will also be tasked with the ongoing management and refinement of patient access strategy, working closely with the Field Sales and the Trade & Distribution Teams to ensure a seamless patient intake experience leading to successful initiation and continuation on therapy. Responsibilities: Responsible for the ongoing management and strategic direction and performance of AVEO Ace, a best-in-class patient support program (HUB), in support of a branded oral oncolytic Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to continuously refine the patient access strategy to help ensure optimal and timely initiation onto therapy Provide partnership and support to the National Account Director team in addressing the needs of various Access stakeholders Educate AVEO on evolving patient support topics (i.e., accumulators/maximizers, etc.) and recommend innovative solutions to mitigate monetary impact to patients and AVEO alike Ensure effective and compliant implementation of all aspects of the PSP/HUB and maintain a sound audit plan of program operations Provide ongoing assessments of the oncology market in terms of patient access and potential barriers to provider and patient access to therapy Develop deep market knowledge related to innovative patient services program solutions as well as changes to the legal and regulatory environment that impact patient services programs Evaluate and recommend innovative solutions for alignment with AVEO vision and long-term patient services strategy Drive development of new patient support programs as applicable for future indications/products, ensuring best-in-class support for patients Refine SOPs and business rules related to all relevant aspects of the PSP/HUB, as needed Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders including Trade & Distribution, Commercial Operations, Marketing, Patient Advocacy, Sales, Compliance, Legal, Medical and Market Analytics, along with relevant external customers and stakeholders Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree required / MBA preferred Minimum of 8 - 10 years of pharmaceutical and/or biotech experience in patient support services or related functions Strong analytical skills with the proven ability to effectively analyze data to determine trends that inform strategy Experience building and/or managing an oncology or specialty/rare disease patient support center (PSP/HUB) required Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with the established ability to effectively collaborate with diverse audiences and influence cross-functionally Oral oncolytic / Part D experience preferred This position requires 10% domestic travel AVEO Oncology (“AVEO”) is an oncology-focused biopharmaceutical company committed to providing innovative solutions to improve cancer patients lives.
