Full Time Vacuum Truck Operator to work in Stickney, IL - Temp to Hire

Our client, a full service environmental and engineering consulting firm, is seeking an experienced Vac-truck Operator to assist in the cleaning of train railcars. The majority of your day will be spent outdoors operating the truck’s vacuum. A CDL class B license is required, 90 percent of driving with be within plant facility.

Job Summary:

• Must possess CDL Class B license.
• All Safety and operational training will be provided on the job.
• Will be operating a standard shift transmission.
• May require driving in and out of our customer’s location to load and unload of nonhazardous material.
• Performs other duties as required such as assisting Technicians.
• You will not drive more than 100 miles in a year
• Hours: 5am-1pm, including paid time during lunch

Primary duties include:

• Emergency response, tank cleaning and railcar tanker cleaning.
• Must be willing to work some overtime, some weekends.
• Must have a clean driving record.
• Must be capable of passing a physical, 90-day, hair follicle drug test, and a criminal background check.
• Drives company vehicles in accordance with all State, Local, Federal, DOT, and company regulations, laws, and policies.
• Vacuum Truck/Guzzler experience is required.

Experience:

• Driving with manual transmission: 1 year (Required)
• DOT-regulated truck driving: 1 year (Required)

Education:

High school or equivalent (Preferred)
